Tank and Silo Painting

The longevity of Tank and Silo structures are dependant on their resistance from corrosion, abrasion and chemicals. Corrosion is the biggest threat to the structural integrity of the Tank or Silo.

The longer corrosion is left, it can lead to pitting and loss of steel, which can affect structural integrity, cause material contamination or even a catastrophic spill.

C.I.P. (Commercial & Industrial Painters) can help to protect your investment.

Our C.I.P. (Commercial & Industrial Painters) team of inspectors and estimators are available to review the condition of the interior and exterior of your storage vessel. We provide a specification and a free quotation that meets the requirements to restore your physical asset for many years.

EXTERIOR TANK AND SILO PAINTING:
Exterior coatings will eventually wear down from U.V. and acid rain. Moisture will migrate to the steel, and when combined with oxygen, an electrochemical reaction will cause corrosion.

C.I.P. (Commercial & Industrial Painters) removes any corrosion and defective coatings using various methods. Abrasive blasting or Slurry blasting is the Industry’s preferred method. After the recommended surface preparation completion, our certified applicators will apply a protective hi-solids epoxy barrier coating system to protect the steel and topcoat with an abrasion, U.V. resistant urethane for added protection against the elements.

As an added exterior feature C.I.P. (Commercial & Industrial Painters) can apply your company logo to the Tank and Silo. (See C.I.P. Silo logo application on the right)

INTERIOR TANK & SILO PAINTING:
Abrasion from dry bulk can wear down the Tank and Silo walls, which can hamper the material flowing out of the Tank or Silo and cause interior corrosion, which can lead to contamination.

A C.I.P. (Commercial & Industrial Painters) team trained in Confined Space Entry and Rescue accesses the Tank and Silo. Removes the corrosion and defective coatings and installs an interior lining that is coating specific. For food containers, the applied material has to be C.F.I.A. (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) approved, and Vessels holding water have to be N.S.F. certified. (C.I.P. Potable Water Tank before and after on the right)
C.I.P (Commercial & Industrial Painters) also provides an industrial cleaning service to remove any ‘built-up’ material so future contents will continue to flow through, and production keeps going.
